About Christie Mensch

A psychiatrist at the Wyandot Center in Kansas City, Dr. Christie Mensch works with adult patients in an outpatient setting. She assists in the diagnosis, evaluation, and treatment of diverse mental health conditions, including trauma, depression, and bipolar disorder. Dr. Christie Mensch is part of a team that emphasizes quality care. The Wyandot Center partners closely with the community in taking care of the underserved and treats homeless people through the Frank Williams Outreach Center.

Dr. Mensch completed her bachelor’s degree in chemistry at Valparaiso University in Indiana and undertook medical studies at the Creighton University School of Medicine. She was named chief resident while training at Kansas University and received the Student Voice Award. Dr. Mensch has a longstanding professional interest in the treatment of depression and the use of pets in therapy.

Away from work, Dr. Christie Mensch enjoys cooking, especially simple dishes created using local produce such as zucchini and squash. She has travelled throughout Europe and tries to integrate flavors from areas of Italy such as Campania and Tuscany.
